課程概述 |
健康行為與社區科學專題討論二之課程設計，係接續專題討論一之架構，經由課堂中的報告、評論與討論，訓練同學彙整與呈現文獻、挑選可行之論文研究主題，以及撰寫研究計畫書之能力。
Seminar in Health Behaviors and Community Sciences (II) follows the same format as Seminar (I). Through presentations, comments, and discussions in class, this course is developed to help students further their skills of literature searches, presentations, identification of a feasible thesis research topic, and proposal writing. |

課程目標 |
本課程結束後，學生應能具備以下能力：
1. 能確認影響個人與群體健康之重要社會行為與社區因素 (HBCS-A)
2. 能敘述在公共衛生研究與實務中所運用的不同社會與行為科學基本理論、概念與模式 (HBCS-B)
3. 能從社會行為科學的觀點分析國內外健康與環境議題(HBCS-E)
4. 文獻搜尋與彙整歸納
5. 製作論文簡報
6. 口頭發表與回應問題
7. 批判論文研究計畫書
8. 撰寫論文研究計畫書
After completing this course, students will be able to:
1. Identify the key socio-behavioral and community factors that affect the health of individuals and populations (HBCS-A)
2. Describe the basic theories, concepts, and models from a range of social and behavioral disciplines that are used in public health research and practice (HBCS-B)
3. Analyze domestic and international issues about health and environment from a socio-behavioral perspective (HBCS-E)
4. Conduct literature searches and synthesize empirical evidence
5. Make PowerPoint slides for presentations
6. Give oral presentations and respond to questions
7. Critique a research proposal
8. Draft a research proposal |

課程要求 |
一、 論文計畫書口頭報告與評論：每位同學應報告兩次與評論一次
(一) 第一次口頭報告：針對論文計畫書（全體同學於2022/9/6（週二）晚上11.59分之前繳交；中英文均可），每位同學報告20分鐘（中文），並由另一名同學做講評與提問8分鐘（英文），之後開放全體師生共同討論（中文）。
(二) 第二次口頭報告：每位同學報告20分鐘（英文），且須回覆老師與同學針對第一次報告內容所提之意見，之後開放全體師生共同討論（中文）。
二、 第二次口頭報告前之書面報告（中英文均可）：報告者應於報告前一週的週五(含)之前，將論文計畫書以電子檔傳送給全體師生，以利課前預讀並增進討論之深度。
三、 期末書面報告（中英文均可）：於學期結束 2022年12月30日 (週五) 晚上11:59前，每位同學須將修改後的論文計畫書上傳至NTUCOOL課程網頁。
四、 主持人：每週由一名同學擔任主持人，需要負責計時與掌控流程（英文）。
1. Every student is required to have two oral presentations and one official feedback on others’ presentations.
First oral presentation: Each student will give a 20-minute presentation regarding their mini proposal followed by 8-minute feedback from another student.
Second oral presentation: Each student will give a 20-minute presentation regarding the mini proposal along with the responses to the comments raised by others.
2. Two written reports: Students need to e-mail their mini proposals to all the students and faculty by Friday the week before their presentation.
3. Final reports: Students need to upload the final revised mini proposals to the CEIBA by 11:59 pm Friday January 14th, 2022.
4. Moderator: Students will take turns serving as the moderator of the seminar in each week. The moderator is responsible for holding participants to time limits and facilitating the discussions. |
